Decide which adult will share the family story. Contact information will be private when intake opens.
Choose a family title and decide whose names you have permission to include. Names can remain private.
Think about general places and what is documented, remembered, or uncertain. Unknown dates are welcome.
Outline family movements and approximate periods. Do not guess missing dates.
If relevant, recall community life, livelihood, and general locations. This step is optional.
You may skip any difficult question. Sharing traumatic experiences is never required.
Share only what feels appropriate about the journey. Exact routes need not be disclosed.
Recall camp names, approximate periods, and memories you want to preserve.
Use countries and general regions. Leave out street addresses and immigration identifiers.
Consider education, work, and community contributions. Living people must agree to public inclusion.
Describe generations together. Protect minors’ names, schools, contact details, and birth dates.
Gather captions, approximate dates, sources, and permission information. Do not upload originals here.
Prepare a message you want children and grandchildren to remember.
Choose whether to request public review, archive-only access, or private retention. Publication requires review and family approval.
